Moxie Art in a Box: A Virtual Cultural Exchange Between Palm Springs & San Miguel de Allende

Palm Springs Sister Cities proudly presents the Moxie Art in a Box exchange—a week-long bilingual art program connecting 4th graders from Vista Del Monte Elementary in Palm Springs with 3rd and 4th graders from Newland School in San Miguel de Allende.

Students will explore culture and creativity through Hojalata (tin art), as well as Mid Century Modern Architecture crafting personal works that reflect their communities, traditions, and shared values. The experience includes eight live 20-minute virtual classroom sessions in English and Spanish, encouraging cross-border collaboration and cultural discovery.

This initiative reflects our ongoing mission to foster international education, youth creativity, and cultural diplomacy—but we need your help to keep it growing.
