In November 2024, the Palm Springs Sister Cities Committee, in collaboration with the Palm Springs Food & Wine Festival, and College of the Desert Culinary Arts Program brought a unique cross-cultural experience to life. This remarkable event showcased the rich culinary traditions of San Miguel de Allende, our Sister City, captivating attendees with its vibrant flavors and heritage.
A Feast for the Senses
The festival, held from November 9th to 12th, featured an array of exclusive events that immersed guests in the culinary wonders of San Miguel de Allende:
Cooking Demonstrations: Renowned chefs from San Miguel de Allende shared traditional cooking techniques, revealing the artistry behind their cuisine. Among them were Chef Anthar Amoros from Fatima, Chef Hiran Patel from Ghar and exquisite bites by Chef Cesar Enciso from Rosewood.
Wine Tastings: Guests experienced an exquisite selection of wines from the region, each reflecting the unique terroir and traditions of San Miguel de Allende. Delicious cocktails were provided by Executive Director / Mixologist Adrian Garcia Evans .
Cultural Exchanges: Attendees engaged in meaningful interactions that highlighted the universal language of food and wine, fostering deeper connections between our communities.
