Something exciting is cooking in the world of Palm Springs Sister Cities, and we can’t wait to share it with you! As we continue to build strong international connections, we are working on an incredible culinary and hospitality educational exchange program between The College of the Desert (COD) and Universidad Tecnológica de San Miguel de Allende (UTSMA).

While the details are still being finalized, one thing is certain—this program is shaping up to be a game-changer for students and our community. Imagine COD culinary students traveling to the heart of San Miguel de Allende, engaging with top-tier chefs, participating in world-class culinary events, and experiencing first-hand the vibrant flavors and hospitality of our Sister City. It’s more than an exchange—it’s an opportunity to shape future industry leaders.

Why This Matters

Global Learning: Students will immerse themselves in a new cultural and professional environment, expanding their perspectives on hospitality and culinary arts.

Hands-On Experience: From kitchen collaborations to live demonstrations at the SMdA Food and Wine Festival, this program will equip students with skills and knowledge that go beyond the classroom.

International Networking: Connections made in San Miguel de Allende could open doors for future opportunities in the culinary and hospitality industries.
